How does implementation support work?

We operate as an independent client-side resource throughout delivery and can offer different project elements depending on the client need. This ranges from project managing the implementation, to supporting UAT and testing.  The typical options chosen by client for support include:

What is technology implementation support?

Implementation support is independent client-side oversight throughout a technology implementation. It means having someone who represents your organisation's interests throughout delivery, monitoring progress, managing risk, overseeing testing, and confirming go-live readiness. Where the implementation partner is responsible for building the solution, Hart Square is responsible for ensuring the solution being built is the one you agreed to.

Why do organisations need independent oversight during implementation?

Implementation partners have a commercial interest in moving to go-live. That interest does not always align with your organisation's interest in a system that works properly from day one. Independent oversight provides a counterbalance, someone whose only accountability is to your organisation, with the sector experience to distinguish between normal delivery challenges and genuine risks that need escalating.

At what point should we bring in implementation support?

Ideally before the implementation partner is appointed, so Hart Square can be involved in the briefing and contracting process as well as delivery. The earlier independent oversight is established, the more effective it is. That said, we are frequently brought in mid-implementation when a project has run into difficulty,early intervention is almost always more effective than waiting until go-live pressure is at its peak.
