Requirements Gathering

We adopt a collaborative and iterative approach to capturing your requirements in relation to what your technology needs to enable you to do. The insight derived from the process itself is almost as valuable as the substance of your statement of requirements.

Our expert consultants know how to collate and express requirements such that you recognise them and can be confident that they’re an accurate representation of your needs.

We have delivered over 50 requirements gathering projects in the non-profit sector

Approach

Our approach is to work in a blended and iterative way with internal teams to get buy-in across all business areas and alignment on key priorities for requirements with the goals of the organisation.

Experience

Our experience allows us to produce requirements at the right level – to enable the organisation to clearly articulate their needs but not to inhibit the way in which a partner brings their solution and skills to address them.

Skills

Delivering a project of this nature requires a range of skills and experience and should be done by someone who has done this on multiple similar projects. Hart Square manage multiple projects of this type per year and have a huge amount of experience in exactly the work required.

Knowledge

This is a specialised area and we believe we can add considerable value through our knowledge of requirements and challenges in similar organisations.

Hart Square will deliver the following

  • A document, for each business area in scope articulating:
    – Their core function, objectives and pain points
    – The functional requirements they require from any new system(s)
  • Non-functional requirements such as security, performance and documentation

  • Documented systems currently used by the organisation and for what purpose

  • Documented requirements for integration between the various systems

  • Documented list of systems used by contributing teams and if they are in scope to be replaced or integrated with

  • Validation and feedback on the documented content, and notional requirements prioritisation from contributing business areas
